Hey TheEnemy,
Why don’t you move to England?

The show will work if Clarkson tones down his Anti-American comments.
WE can only be insulted so much. Which more than I can say for the Brits.

They acknowledged the downloaders? Maybe they knew we have been sending away for Stig merch at a ridiculous exchange rate for years.

I hope that the “American Flavor” means “Nacho Cheesier” rather than the shows cut down by 1/3 like on BBC America.

The BBC has a winner here, why change the format. Just keep the normal BBC version available to the US fans on Monday night as usual. As we say here in America, if its not broken don’t fix it…..

Finally an American TG sight!  I love the show and even if it is a repeat episode I watch it every Monday (who cares about Monday night football TG is on) and I have only one question…what no Oliver Avatars?!

Top Gear has become my favurite as car shows come, funny, enjoyable and wondering what Jerramy, Richard and James are going to do next for their challenges is always entertaining.  Keep up the fun factor and we’ll keep watching.

Is there anything greater than Top Gear?  Perhaps one of the fellows from the show could run for president here in the States.  Just a thought.

Ugh, what a sad to joke to hear there will be an Americanized version of such a fantastic program!
Come on, how many shows from the UK ever become hits in the US once they’ve been redone?  Hmmm, Coupling, The Office, AbFab… nope, none of those.  Oh wait, Changing Rooms and Trading Spaces, there you go, the producers of Top Gear UK are hoping to have a hit as bit as Trading Spaces.  Sigh, what a disappointment!

Yes, please, please please do not americanize Top Gear.  I honestly love the fact that the presenters do not dull down the fact that American ways are foolish, our cars are horrible and our petrol is a joke. When it comes down to it Americans love the show for exactly what it is, please leave it that way.

Please take the negative comments with a grain of salt.  I am looking forward to TG America.  I know this project is the baby of the producers and directors, and much care has been placed in the organization and production of this new venture.  Keep it real and keep it authentic, and it will be a success.

Thanks for the support and the extra effort for bringing your love to the States.

It is about time Top Gear comes across the pond.  I just hope they don’t “americanize” it, that means it will be dumbed down and seeping with manufactured drama.  Case in point with Ramsey’s Kitchen Nighmares and Worst Week Ever.  We could use a smart, witty show in the U.S.  After all, it is proven most of us aren’t smarter than a fifth grader.

I really don’t like Adam Corrola.  I certainly hope BBC America continues to carry TG UK.  And what idiot at the BBC licensed the show to an American production company.

Jimmy Carr would make a much better presenter….Adam Corrola is an idiot and besides the sow would need an English angle to it…after all the Show originated in England.

Best show ever. I totally agree with [bostonjed]. My knowledge of car makes and models was vastly inept until I discover TG, I don’t want it messed with at all. If you want to Americanize it just send some American stars over there. That being said, If there’s an episode coming to close to Detroit I wanna say “Come on down to the Wooward Dream Cruise!“ http://www.woodwarddreamcruise.com It’s “Bama” free!

To those of you who addressed “BBC America” as having “the real” version of Top Gear—The version aired in Britain is still the real mccoy. When BBC America shows Top Gear they cannot play the same musics as it is too expensive to get the rights (i would imagine). Also, the show is cropped (I think!). If you want to get the real version i would go to google and type in “top” and maybe “gear” and perhaps “fansite”

Top Gear should not be letting NBC muck up the brand with their licensed version of the show. Hamster, Clarkson, and Captain Slow cannot be replicated. The show producers and crew there also help make Top Gear the great show that it is, so tell NBC quit trying to make an American version and get the balls to just bring on the original. American broadcasters are way too meek.

Let me be very clear. We do not need or want an American Top Gear. We only want the British Top Gear IN America.

Malibu??? where did you get that?

The Reasonable Car for TG America is a Kia Rio. Plus who said anything about them not testing cars from beyond North American shores.

I wish the show luck but who wants to see celebrities racing around in a Chevy Malibu??? The best part of the show besides Jeremey is watching the cars that we can’t get over her!

Are you Joking? American top gear w/ Adam Corolla you might as well shelve this one now! No clarkson? No May? No Hampster? No Stig?
then its not a hit show .Always stick with an orginal formula if its already a hit! Please tell me that new brit top gear episodes will still air on BBC America Because if you replace it without May Clarkson and Hammonds youve lost my viewership

I have to say, I am less than excited at the prospect of a new top gear us. The original is perfect and in no need of change. We the ugly americans do not need a us version. Thank god i have bbc america and am able to view the one true Top Gear. Keep up the good work fellas.

I don’t want an “American” Top Gear. I like the Brit’s Top Gear with Jeremy, Hamster and May. Who would play the Stig Dale Earnhardt jr? I even like the American jokes, they are funny. Please don’t bollocks up a great concept.

Thats just great adam corolla and nascar on the american show. I know I will be sticking to my BBC america!

Thank you guys for the love you are sending to us in the colonies. MrM13D, you should take a listen to Adam’s radio show when he’s talking about the american show, I don’t think there is anything to worry about.

Enjoying TG Australia,
Looking forward to Series 12,
Bring on TG America.

And after the TG vs. DMotor, I hope that we’ll get a host challenge in the near future pitting DMotor and all the TG’s head to head.

Welcome to the US!  As a Yankee, I think this is the best show ever!  I’m a huge F1 fan, hence Mika22.  I only hope the American version does not blow, because if it does, then I will stick to my BBC America!  Must say, I’m not looking forward to seeing Adam Corolla (Not funny at all and hideous), but eager to see the other chaps on how they do.  Also, I’m not looking forward on seeing guest NASCAR drivers, they should atleast have Indy drivers, oh well, can’t wait to see how the show does.

I love top gear, but I still have some thought in my head that its just not going to work here in America. Adam Carolla just… does not seem to fit with the whole top gear theme. But I could be wrong.
