BBCSD TERMS & CONDITIONS: Bicester Scramble October 2025 – UK Prize Draw (the “Prize Draw”)
Terms and Conditions
1. The BBC Code of Conduct (the “Code”) for competitions and prize draws can be found at https://www.bbc.com/editorialguidelines/guidance/code-of-conduct and all BBC Studios Distribution Limited (“BBCSD”) promotions comply with the Code.
2. The Prize Draw opens on 10 September 2025 and closes at 23:59 BST on 19 September 2025 (“Closing Date”).
3. The Prize Draw is open to all residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 (eighteen) years or over except employees of BBCSD or their subsidiaries, agencies, members of their families and anyone professionally associated with the Prize Draw (those who enter the Prize Draw shall each be an “Entrant” and collectively be the “Entrants”).
4. By entering the Prize Draw, each of the Entrants agree:
a. to be bound by these Terms and Conditions;
b. that their surname and county of residence may be released if they win a Prize;
c. that should they win a Prize, their name and likeness may be used by BBCSD for pre-arranged promotional purposes.
5. No purchase is necessary to enter.
6. After the Closing Date a total of 3 (three) winners, consisting of 1 (one) ‘overall’ winner (the “Overall Winner”) and 2 (two) ‘runner up’ winners (the “Runner Up Winners”), will be selected based on the criteria set out in clause 12.
7. Entrants should enter online by filling in the Prize Draw form at [link to be inserted] prior to the Closing Date in order to enter the Prize Draw. Emails or other forms of entry will not be accepted and entries received after the Closing Date, or incomplete entries, will not be eligible. Internet access is required to enter.
8. Only 1 (one) entry will be permitted per person and bulk entries (meaning the use of any form of technology which allows multiple simultaneous entries) will not be permitted. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed. No responsibility is taken for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be delivered for any technical or other reason. Entries received after the Closing Date will not be considered. Entries cannot be returned.
9. Entrants’ data will be collected and used for the purposes of administration of this Prize Draw. For more information on how BBCSD will use Entrants’ data, see the Privacy Notice.
10. Entrants must supply to BBCSD their full name and email address, and choose whether or not to sign up to the Top Gear newsletter and/or the Bicester Motion newsletter.
11. Where Entrants have provided consent, BBCSD and the Event organiser Bicester Motion may send Entrants marketing messages on a regular basis. Entrants may unsubscribe from these at any time.
12. The winning Entrants will be the first 3 (three) entries drawn at random after the Closing Date – the Overall Winner will be the first entry drawn at random, and the Runner Up Winners shall be the second and third entries drawn at random.
13. The prizes will be as follows:
a. 1 (one) prize package, to be awarded to the Overall Winner, consisting of: (i) 2 (two) x ‘VIP’ tickets for the Overall Winner and their guest to attend the ‘Bicester Scramble October 2025’ event (the “Event”); (ii) a merchandise bundle consisting of 1 (one) t-shirt, 1 (one) cap, and 1 (one) coffee cup (the “Merchandise Bundle”); and (iii) a ride around the Event location in a display car, arriving to the Top Gear stand at the Event in the display car with driver Jack Rix (or alternative driver, subject to availability) (the “Display Car Ride”); and
b. 2 (two) prizes, each of which shall be awarded to each of the Runner Up Winners, and each consisting of 2 (two) ‘general admission’ tickets for each Runner Up Winner and each of their guests to attend the Event
(each a “Prize” and collectively the “Prizes”).
14. In order to take part in the Display Car Ride, the Overall Winner or (where applicable) their guest must: (i) complete and sign such acknowledgement of risk form(s) as provided by BBCSD, and such other documentation as may be required by the Event organisers; and (ii) be present at the time of the Display Car Ride and at the display car’s location (such time and location to be provided to the Overall Winner or their guest in advance). The Display Car Ride taking place is dependent on external factors including but not limited to weather conditions, and as such the Display Car Ride may be postponed, cancelled or the format altered at short notice. Should the Overall Winner be unable to participate in the Display Car Ride, their guest shall be permitted to participate in the Display Car Ride in place of the Overall Winner, provided that the guest is aged 18 (eighteen) years or over.
15. The winners will be notified within 3 (three) business days of the Closing Date by email. If the winner(s) is/are unable to be contacted within 5 (five) business days of the notification, BBCSD reserves the right to offer the Prize(s) to alternative Entrant(s), or to re-offer the Prize(s) in any future BBCSD competition, prize draw or promotion.
16. On successful contact and confirmation with the winner(s) BBCSD will arrange for the Event organisers to send the tickets elements of the Prize(s) to the winner(s) and/or alternative Entrants to a designated email address, with the Merchandise Bundle and Display Car Ride to be provided to the Overall Winner by BBCSD on the day of the Event. BBCSD will not be liable for any disruption, delay, strike action or incorrect delivery by any postal or courier service or if incorrect details are provided.
17. There is no cash alternative to the Prizes and the Prizes will not be transferable. Prizes must be taken as stated and cannot be deferred. If a Prize must be taken on a specific date and the winner(s) is/are unable to attend on that day, BBCSD reserves the right to offer the Prize(s) to an alternative Entrant or to re-offer the Prize(s) in any future BBCSD promotion. BBCSD accepts no responsibility for any costs associated with the Prizes not specifically included/stated. If any Prize is unavailable, for whatever reason, BBCSD reserves the right to substitute the Prize for another prize of equal or greater value.
18. The name and county of residence of the winner(s) may be obtained by emailing crm@bbc.com within 2 (two) months of the Closing Date.
19. Any promotional activity or press release any winner makes in relation to the Prize Draw must be pre-approved by BBCSD in writing.
20. BBCSD excludes liability to the full extent permitted by law for any loss, damage or injury occurring to the participant arising from their entry into the Prize Draw or occurring to the winner(s) arising from their acceptance of a prize. Claims relating to the Merchandise Bundle should be made directly to the manufacturer.
21. Entry into the Prize Draw is acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
22. BBCSD reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions or to cancel, alter or amend the Prize Draw or the Prize(s) at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, or if circumstances arise outside of its control.
23. The Prize Draw is subject to the laws of England and Wales.

To enter the prize draw, you have provided BBC Studios with your personal data, including your name, email address and country of residence. BBC Studios is the “data controller” of this information and is responsible for how your personal data is processed. We process personal data on the basis of our legitimate interests to engage with audiences and to promote our brands. We protect your information in many different ways. These include staff training, investing in technology and following strict handling and storing procedures.
BBC Studios will process your personal data to administer the prize draw and to send you marketing emails (if you choose to subscribe). BBC Studios may contact you to fulfil the prizes. The winning entrants will be the first 3 (three) entries drawn at random after the closing date.
We will share the contact details of the winners with Bicester Motion, who are the organisers of the Bicester Scramble October 2025 event and who will distribute the prize tickets on behalf of BBC Studios. Bicester Motion will also process your personal data to send you marketing emails (if you choose to subscribe). Once we pass your personal information to Bicester Motion, Bicester Motion will become the data controller of this information and be responsible for processing and storing it in accordance with data protection law and Bicester Motion’s own privacy policy. If you have not opted in to marketing from BBC Studios, we will retain your data for compliance purposes for 6 months after the Prize Draw closes and will then destroy it in line with the BBC Studios retention policy.
