Video: more on the Nissan Juke-R

When we first told you about the proposed Nissan Juke-R with the engine and drivetrain from a GT-R, you thought, "grand". The only problem is building the ruddy thing.

Because if you think the Nissan GT-R conjures up its ethereal speed and stomach-shrivelling grip using witchcraft and sorcery, the following may surprise you: it uses something called ‘electronics'.

An army of digital helpers sit underneath the GT-R's bodyshell keeping it very straight and very fast, and transposing these into the diddy Juke requires more than a spanner and some tea. Nissan knows this. Especially since that army helps the 1700kg GT-R accelerate from 0-62mph in three seconds and a top speed of 196mph.

The videos below show a few of the engineering hurdles Nissan will have to vault in order to shoehorn said engine and gearbox and four-wheel-drive system into said crossover SUV. It's not easy, and it isn't covered by Haynes, so don't try it at home.
