The CUPRA brand has long been a byword for high-performance, class-leading engineering, and sophisticated design. And now for the first time, from its impressive Martorell base in Spain, that CUPRA DNA is being distilled and made available in the first vehicle built and designed as a CUPRA in its own right: the Formentor SUV coupe, now available to order in the UK.
Pure performance
As befits that CUPRA lineage, the Formentor focuses first on driving and performance. A range-topping 306bhp 2.0-litre four cylinder turbo drives all four wheels to offer fierce acceleration, going from 0-62 mph in just 4.9 seconds and maxing out at 155 mph. There’s also the option of a plug-in hybrid set-up that teams a 1.4-litre turbo engine with an electric motor to develop 242bhp, available from March 2020.
Stopping ability, too, comes from that same racing background, with award-winning ventilated Brembo brakes in CUPRA copper giving proper control. And behind the low-slung bucket seats, the four exhausts amplify a distinctive CUPRA engine roar for a thrilling presence on the road.

Anyone who has visited the Mallorcan peninsula of Formentor, from where this CUPRA gets its name, will know its wild beauty, sculpted into a spectacular cove by nature. And the crafted, confident lines on the Formentor show the same dynamic sense of theatre and movement. It’s an SUV coupe worthy of the name.
The standout 19” machined copper alloy wheels a key element of the CUPRA design language turn heads every time you drive. As you enter the car the CUPRA logo projects onto the floor via the puddle lamps. While inside the expertly-crafted interior uses brushed-dark aluminium and copper accents, offering supreme comfort and versatile space for all onboard.

Technology designed around you
Intuitive digital features surround you in the CUPRA Formentor, from ambient light hues that you control, to an immersive 12” touchscreen with connected mapping services, to a digital cockpit that can be personalised to displays your chosen information. Apple CarPlay, wired Android Auto and DAB are standard all come as standard to complete the digital experience. Park Assist and Rear View Cameras are standard on VZ trim levels.
