Watch: how to build the extraordinary LEGO Technic Jeep Wrangler
When LEGO® Technic™ sent die hard fan Adam a mystery box, he really hit the jackpot…
Way back in 1986, the Jeep Wrangler was born to conquer all types of terrain, from meandering country lanes and boggy marshes to desert dunes and craggy mountain passes. And, true to form, the LEGO® Technic™ replica model will make mincemeat of any homespun assault course you can throw at it.
This latest creation is an accomplished portrayal of the all-new Wrangler Rubicon model, featuring a dynamic black and yellow colour scheme complete with Rubicon branding throughout.
Overall it’s a fantastic model. I think the Technic elements really lend themselves to how rugged the vehicle is in real life
There’s plenty to admire in the way of mechanical engineering. The powerful axle-articulation system allows junior off-roaders to test this powerful SUV’s mettle against a variety of obstacles. The impressively chunky tyres will also help unlock hours of amateur off-roading, and the front steering is made easy with a simple push button.
The Wrangler also boasts opening doors and hood, as well as fold-down back seats, a full-size spare tyre and a winch. One element Jeep enthusiasts can’t fail to appreciate is the trademark seven-slot grille – a mark that’s adorned the front of the manufacturer’s countless celebrated models since 1945. Just 665 pieces make this the right building project for young LEGO fans, and as a highly collectible model, it’s sure to take pride of place when it’s out of action.
Watch the video above as LEGO fan Adam unboxes and assembles this all-action model, and then why not try it for yourself?
