Here are seven times Caterham went wild
You've seen the Project V, now relive those other moments when Caterham stretched itself and thought outside the box
Caterham Levante RST V8
The 2.0-litre V8 Seven (a pair of crank-siamesed bike engines), the supercharged version of which made 500bhp. Limited to eight cars and a £115,000 price tag. Crikey.

A Seven with conventional bodywork and added ‘practicality’, the 21 arrived in ’94 to celebrate 21 years of Caterham taking over the Seven from Lotus. The Elise killed it.
Caterham F1 Team
Tony Fernandes’ Hail Mary, UK-based F1 team that raced under a Malaysian licence. Resorted to crowdfunding in 2014. Not hugely winning. Ballsy.

‘Series V’ or ‘Special Vehicle’ is a Seven for normal-sized people. Celebrate that 4.3 inches of extra width. OK, so it's 25kg heavier, but thtere's less appetite for fatal deep-vein thrombosis.
Caterham C120
Fernandes again, teaming up with Renault to bring back the Alpine badge and a mainstream GT86-sized sports car with a RenaultSport motor. Funding issues killed it.
Caterham Aeroseven
Startling 2013 concept with F1-style pushrod suspension, 237bhp from a Duratec, some actual technology/aero and much green. Was quietly smothered in 2014. Shame.
Caterham EV Seven
A ‘lightweight concept’ developed with Swindon Powertrain with an electric motor and a 52kWh battery, 4.0secs 0–62mph time and 240bhp... does this sound vaguely familiar at all?
