Maverick Games has been livestreaming a stationary 2003 Fiat Multipla for days now

We sense an announcement coming

Published: 27 May 2026

Someone at racing game studio Maverick Games either really has a thing for under-loved Italian MPVs, or they’re teasing a big announcement. And very possibly, both.

The Warwick-based studio, founded by Forza Horizon alumni, has been livestreaming a 2003 Fiat Multipla just sitting parked in the lobby of its offices, with a timer counting down to 2 June. It’s a ‘Multipla Yer Reveal’, if you will.

And to follow up, the game’s X account posted “Are you ready for our trailer reveal?” before following up with… a photo of an actual tandem axle car trailer in the car park. Well played, social media managers.

Viewers have taken to wishing the cruelly maligned bubble-bodied hatchback good morning and good afternoon since the stream first went live. It’s also been suggested the countdown timer points to a game reveal at 11am on 2 June, possibly during Sony’s State of Play event, which runs from 27 May to 10 June.

Preposterous, say we. It’s just a livestream of a surprisingly spacious Noughties vehicle for its own sake.

Although given that Maverick has also been sharing images of in-game Porsche dashboards (as spotted by Traxion) and months ago stated its game was fully playable and content complete, you can sort of see why people might jump to these wild conclusions.

We will, of course, be keeping silent vigil over the Multipla, and will report back when the countdown timer expires.
