How much carbon can you add to the McLaren 600LT?

A new 592bhp lightweight supercar means a new configurator to make merry with

McLaren has properly gone to town on the 600LT, stripping out 96kg of weight – if you spec the hardcore seats and delete the glovebox – adding 30bhp of poke, and banishing superheated exhaust gasses straight out the top of the rear deck and over a flameproof rear wing. The baby McLaren has well and truly grown up.

And because there’s so much carbon on offer, such tempting lightweight seats and a rainbow of colours to choose from, configuring one is an exercise you should take your time over. With four different wheel finishes on the menu, and the ‘should I delete my air-conditioning’ conundrum to mull, you may be perfecting your 600LT for some time. You have been warned.

We’ve prepared some samples in the gallery above for your delectation. Would McLaren allow someone to spec two different colours of seatbelts, and a livery inspired by a Cadbury Caramel bar? We fear the answer is yes.

And with that, it’s your turn. Say goodbye to the rest of your day…
