Here’s why you should take a look at the new BMW 3 Series Touring

With the perfect blend of techy and practical features, the BMW 3 Series Touring is pure driving bliss

  • Time to do yourself a favour and discover the irresistible charms of what BMW calls the ultimate driver’s car. Aside from all the clever gizmos and ergonomic flourishes, you’ll find a Touring that drives as well as its saloon counterpart. The hum of its 330i engine is endlessly satisfying, while the xDrive system gives you all the traction you need through the corners. If you’re in the mood for a bit more fun, however, Sport mode will deliver more torque to the back end.

If you’re taking the Touring out for an adventure (which you absolutely should), BMW couldn’t have made better use of its space. Let’s start with the 500-litre boot, with its innovative optional storage solutions. The opening has been widened, with a handy storage section underneath the floor. And for when you have to slide in a door, ladder, big new telly or whatever oversize object you’ve chosen that particular day, you can remotely unlock the rear seat head rests, meaning they’ll slide out easily for increased storage space.

  • The biggest rear storage win, however, is the hands-free automatic tailgate, for when your arms are full. You can even separately open the tailgate glass, allowing you to add to the top of your cargo pile without the rest of it falling out. You don’t have to worry about anything moving in transit either, thanks to the anti-slip rails with rubber inserts that form a grippy surface and retract when the boot is open for easy sliding in and out.

  • Inside, the Touring boasts tech tailored to suit your every need. You can communicate with the Intelligent Personal Assistant with a simple “Hey BMW”. Don’t worry, you get used to it soon enough, especially when it connects with BMW ConnectedDrive services such as BMW Connected Music, meaning all your favourite drive time tracks are just two words away.

Intelligent Personal Assistant will also learn and remember driver behaviour for journeys that are more seamless than ever before. BMW Live Cockpit Professional’s 12.3" instrument display and 10.25" high-resolution Control Display also comes fitted as standard on the M Sport and M Sport Plus Edition models. Operating System 7.0 with BMW Live Cockpit Professional also allows you to swap between faultless navigation and your favourite apps.

  • And you’ll experience all this in ultimate comfort, thanks to newly designed seats that are purpose-built for long journeys. Whichever colour scheme you opt for, you’ll luxuriate in the look and texture of the smooth leather ‘Vernasca’ upholstery. So, if you’re after the perfect mix of smart storage solutions, intelligent tech and a level of comfort that withstands even the most ambitious adventures, you can’t go far wrong with the 3 Series Touring.
