Watch the Megane 265 around the ‘Ring
News of the Renault Megane RS 265 Trophy appears to have been hewn from the same rock of propulsion the yellow-hued FWD rocket has: just two weeks ago it was revealed and now we learn it's lapped the ‘Ring in record time.
But you already know this. You already know the swollen performance figures of 265bhp and 265lb ft of torque, a 0-62mph time of six seconds flat and a top speed of 158mph. You already know it runs on Bridgestone tyres to help it corner at incredible speeds; speeds that have helped it lap the famous automotive torture chamber in a record front-wheel-drive-car time of 8min 7.97sec.
That, fact fans, is nine seconds faster than the Megane R.26R which held the old FWD record.
Now, see how it's done.
