Hyundai Tucson: Pioneering Perfection
Latest gen Tucson comes with a stack of upgrades, making it ideal for new horizons
With every new generation comes an evolutionary upgrade, a sort of genetic boost inside and out. And with that comes even more capacity for exploration.
With the latest Tucson this starts on the outside, where classic SUV proportions blend with sci-fi shapes. Take the new bi-LED headlamps, which flow into the cascading grille and down to a new skid plate – a sign that the Tucson isn’t scared of taking on some unexpected rough roads. And thanks to the Tucson's faultless 4x4 capabilities, nor should you be.
The Tucson’s re-profiled silhouette isn’t just for show, either. It’s even more slipstreamed for better fuel efficiency, and you know what that means: an even bigger playground.

Escape your comfort zone in total comfort. The centrepiece of the Tucson’s redesigned cabin is a new floating display screen, so you can keep your eyes on new horizons while adjusting and monitoring the sat nav, stereo and other functions. The ergonomic interior comes in four colour schemes and includes new soft-touch materials. The Tucson also has a biggest-in-class 513-litre boot – for when your next adventure needs all the gear.
Tech me somewhere new
Technology evolves fast, which is why the next-gen Tucson is fully future proofed.
All models have Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™, while SE Nav models and above have a navigation system with an 8-inch screen, 3D maps and a seven-year subscription to LIVE Services. Premium models and above have a high-quality sound system by hi-fi experts Krell.
Gadget-wise, Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go keeps a safe distance from the car in front, no matter where you find yourself. There’s also Autonomous Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Recognition, Lane Keeping Assist and Driver Attention Alert, which will advise when to take a break.

Under the bonnet of the new Tucson there’s a choice of two petrol and two diesel engines, including the performance-minded, turbocharged 177PS 1.6 T-GDi petrol. The Tucson is also the first Hyundai SUV with a mild hybrid powertrain. Combined with the 2.0 litre CRDi diesel engine, the 48V electric system supplies additional power to help reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
All with a five-year warranty from the Top Gear magazine Manufacturer of the Year – meaning the Tucson really is perfect for your next adventure.
