Nissan 370Z news - LA show: 370Z - 2008

Up close and personal, the new Z looks a great piece of work. The body has classier surfaces, stronger arches and a terrific manga lower grille-cum-splitter thingy. Inside, the quality takes a major leap forward.

Under the hood, that big-hearted V6 has grown to 3.7 litres (duh, we guessed that) and 332 horses. The new shell is lighter, shorter and more rigid than before, too.

So we mooched around it, got inside, prodded and poked, read the specs and generally tried to find something our professional cynicism could get its teeth into. We failed. This looks like a seriously on-target car to us.
