Mansory’s take on the Ineos Grenadier has many lights and two fridges
Mansory attaches much carbon fibre to the rough and tumble, go-anywhere off-roader...
The Ineos Grenadier may be slightly compromised on-road, but there’s no denying its off-road ability is up there with the very best. And now tuning firm Mansory has got hold of one, so all of that mud-plugging potential is pretty much unusable.
Well, it will still go off-road (in fact it might even be slightly more competent thanks to new springs that raise the ride height by 2cm) but if you do venture off the beaten track there’s a very real risk that you’ll damage your extremely fancy carbon fibre bodykit. Yeah, the Grenadier is no longer an agricultural vehicle.
Mansory’s kit adds widebody wheel arches, a completely new front end, a branded spare wheel cover, rear light surrounds, new panels on the sides of the bumpers, many air intake and outlet grilles and even a power bulge on the bonnet. And yes, literally all of it is made from carbon fibre.
You’ll see the Grenadier by Mansory coming too, because by our count it now includes at least 20 separate LED lights. And yes, we are counting the new illuminated Mansory logo as part of that.
Mansory describes its work here as a ‘complete customisation programme’. That means that the engine has been breathed on too. An ECU remap and new flap-controlled stainless-steel exhaust mean that the 3.0-litre turbo petrol’s power jumps from 283bhp to 345bhp. Torque is also up from 332lb ft to 413lb ft.
The wheels are apparently newly designed 20-inch units, while inside this particular car is clad in wildly coloured leather with a contrast white roof liner. Our eyes!
There is a huge amount of leather in there now, plus ventilated front seats and not one, but two centre console fridges; one for the front seats and one for the rears. There’s also carbon fibre pedals (clearly a very important weight-saving feature), a carbon fibre roof panel, an illuminated Mansory logo on the dash and quilted leather floor mats.
Yeah, probably best not to wear your wellington boots while driving this particular Grenadier...
