BMW K1200 GT news - BMW unveils new über-tourer - 2006

A top-of-the-range luxury BMW for £11,995? That'll be the new K1200 GT motorcycle.

The German firm's latest über-tourer goes on sale at the end of March and is a tempting prospect, thanks to 152bhp from its 1157cc four-cylinder engine.

As is normal with BMW continent-crushing tourers, there's a whole host of standard and optional equipment to make long journeys something to relish.

Adjustable seat and handlebars, a wind-defeating fairing with electrically adjusted windscreen, and anti-lock brakes are all standard.

Customers can also order cavernous panniers, electrically adjustable suspension and even cruise control.

Kinda makes the 1-Series look plain.
