Toyota F3R news - Toyota's 'living room on wheels' - 2006

Published: 09 Jan 2006

Detroit sees the launch of Toyota's quirky minivan concept, the F3R.

Described by the manufacturer as a 'living room on wheels', the F3R is aimed at the youthful end of the market, seating up to eight adults.

The roomy concept features three rows of seats, and the middle row can be split and folded to create an ingenious corner sofa.

Passengers can watch films or play games on one of the two flat-panel video screens, which are controlled by a remote unit that docks in the F3R's dashboard.

There's also fibre-optic lighting throughout the cabin, to give the car a club lounge feel.

Twenty-two-inch wheels and wide performance tyres complete the look.
