Toyota Yaris SR news - A real turn-on from Toyota - 2007

The Toyota Yaris is many things, but exciting is not usually a word used to describe it. Until now.

The Japanese firm reckons it has invigorated the Yaris with some serious stimulation in the form of a 131bhp 1.8-litre engine to create the SR.

This sporty flagship for the Yaris range does 0-62mph in 9.3 seconds and costs from £12,995.

Included in the SR package are 17in alloy wheels, distinctive body add-ons, and vehicle stability and tractions controls.

The SR trim can also be ordered for the lesser 1.3 petrol and 1.4 diesel models, which now seem quite dull by comparison.
