
Here’s the full lowdown on the V8 engined Toyota GR GT… and the electric Lexus LFA
They may share the same bones, but the GR GT and new LFA will be two entirely different animals
This is the new Toyota GR GT, a Gazoo Racing-badged supercar. It’s refreshingly simple, with a V8 up front, power going to the back, just a smidge of electrical assistance, and priced to compete with the Mercedes-AMG GT and Porsche 911 GT3. It’s also spawning a proper GT3 race car version with massive wings and slick tyres.
And based on the same architecture will be a plusher, posher all-electric Lexus version… and they’re going to call it the LFA. Controversial.
