Wanna hear the Alfa 33 Stradale’s V6 engine for the first time?
Alfa releases the first bit of audio of its limited-edition supercar. Sounds... like a proper Alfa
“From piano to allegro,” says Alfa in its latest little video clip. A clip of its 33 Stradale supercar. You know the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale supercar.
You know it’s an unashamedly gorgeous callback to the original 33 Stradale from 1967. You know it’s mid-engined. You know it’s available as an EV or with a V6. What you didn’t know – at least until right now – is how this V6 sounds.
So, sit back and treat thine ears to just under ten seconds of Alfa’s 3.0-litre six-cylinder clearing its lungs. It sounds… good. Gruff. Industrial. A bit rowdy. Good rowdy. Wonder what it sounds like at the very top.
A quick recap: that 3.0-litre’s a twin-turbocharged V6, producing 620bhp, and is itself an evolution of the Giulia Quadrifoglio’s 2.9-litre V6. That latter car also sounds particularly brilliant, so there’s good heritage on show here.
It’ll shift the 33 from 0-62 in less than three seconds, and on to a top speed of 206mph. You can read the full debrief of this (sold-out) Alfa 33 right here, but before you go, have a listen to that V6. Sounds… good, no?
