Antas V8 news - Italians build awesome Antas V8 - 2006

Published: 28 Apr 2006

With a name like Faralli and Mazzanti, this car just sounds fast.

This is the Antas V8 from the Italian firm, which normally specialises in restoring top-end classic cars.

The bodywork is hand-formed from aluminium with styling cues taken from 1930s Bugattis and Maseratis.

The Maserati link carries on under the skin with a 4.8-litre V8 engine pumping out 310bhp.

Faralli and Mazzanti claim a top speed of 168mph and 0-62mph in five seconds for the Antas.

Only the truly rich need apply to buy an Antas V8, which is a one-off at the moment, because the company will only discuss prices on an individual basis.
