Hang on to your hats and chequebooks, here comes the Audi S6.

Oh, forget the hat and just use the chequebook to stump up the necessary £55,330 for an S6 saloon, or £56,600 for the Avant estate model.

The 5.2-litre V10-engined monster packs 429bhp from its Lamborghini-derived motor and uses a six-speed auto gearbox to deliver power to all four wheels.

Audi has split the power divide in favour of the rear wheels to make the S6 a hoot to drive, helped along by a 0-62mph time of 5.2 seconds.

Get your order in now, and first deliveries of the S6 start in July.
