BMW news - Paint, foiled - 2008

A BMW owner in Munich has changed the colour of his black 335i by applying a white foil over the entire car bar the roof. The result? An M3-alike white-under-black colour scheme.

The film, apparently a special type developed by 3M, is also used by the German military to cover their vehicles in an olive green colour. Taxi companies and race teams also use the material.

Apparently the film is car-wash proof, protects the surface underneath from paint chips and remains adhered to the body panels for three to four years.
