Text: Summer is the time for shedding a few layers, but Daihatsu has gone crazy and cast off £2,000 from the price of its Copen convertible.

The pint pot coupe-cabriolet now costs from £11,495, with leather trim a £500 option.

As well as the folding metal roof, the Copen gets air-conditioning, electric windows, a CD player and alloy wheels as standard.

But you'd better be quick, because this offer only lasts until June 30.
