Dodge Caliber news - Dodge Caliber hits UK showrooms - 2006

Published: 19 Apr 2006

Dodge is firing a large calibre shot across its rivals' bows with prices for its new hatch that it says are up to 25 per cent cheaper than its main competitors'.

The Dodge Caliber starts at £11,495 for the 1.8-litre petrol-engined S model.

There's also a 2.0-litre petrol and 2.0 turbodiesel, while buyers can choose between S, SE, SXT and SXT Sport trims.

With its sights set on the Volkswagen Golf, Ford Focus and Peugeot 307, the Caliber has broad-shouldered good looks.

It reaches showrooms in July and is the first right-hand-drive Dodge model, spearheading a move by Dodge into the UK that will be followed up by the Nitro SUV in 2007.
