Dodge Caliber SRT-4 news - Dodge's double whammy - 2006

It sure is going to be hard to dodge a Dodge in the UK.

The US firm has announced another two models destined for the UK in 2007.

The Caliber SRT-4 is a hot version of the company's crossover SUV-cum-MPV. It packs 300bhp and can crack 0-60mph in less than six seconds.

The SRT-4 has just been unveiled at the Chicago Auto Show alongside the Nitro, a mid-sized SUV that will be pitched against the Jeep Cherokee.

The first Nitros to the UK will use a 3.7-litre V6 engine with 210bhp, but a 3.0-litre turbodiesel version is expected to follow soon after the car's launch in March 2007.

Expect both cars to start around the £20,000 mark.
