F1 24 heads to Game Pass for PC and Xbox on 20 February
Among other eye-catching additions like Avowed and Watch Dogs: Legion this month
And through goes Hamilton! And indeed, the rest of the 2024 Formula One grid, right through the nebulous infrastructure of cables that we get all our entertainment from, and into your house. Which is to say: F1 24’s coming to Game Pass.
Subscribers to Microsoft’s mahoosive game library will gain access to the title on PC or Xbox from 20 February, which gives you just about enough time to get a season done before the real sport resumes.
Also careening down the internet pipes into Game Pass subscribers’ open arms this month are Avowed (18 February), the new RPG from that clever Obsidian lot who made basically every other great RPG you’ve ever played, and Watch Dogs: Legion (20 February), a surprisingly smart and subversive take on the tried and tested Ubisoft 2010s open world blueprint in which hackers fight back against the corpos who ruined London.
If you didn’t dip into F1 24 when it released back in May last year, you won’t yet have sampled its revamped career mode in which you fight for a place in the pantheon by amassing accomplishments that eclipse the sports’ legends. You can also pick one of those legends to race with, so if you’re still bitter about Felipe Massa’s 20-second reign as 2008 champion, this is your chance to rewrite history.
Certainly more fun than trying to do it in the courts, as Mr Massa endeavours to do.
