Oh no: Forza Horizon 6 on the PS5 has been delayed to January 2027
With a pretty tasty Ferrari J50 as a pre-order bonus, mind you
Do you want the good news or the bad news first? Never mind, you probably already surmised both from the headline – Forza Horizon 6 on PS5 has slipped from its initial 2026 release window to 26 January 2027, but will gift a Ferrari J50 to your in-game garage if you pre-order before then.
The games industry rumour mill was whispering about the possibility of this delay recently, following leaked info from an anonymous source. However it’s now been confirmed by developer Playground Games via a blog post on Forza.net.
The post details that, as you’d expect, the same three editions of the game are available at the same prices as you’ll find on the PC and Xbox versions: £59.99 for the standard edition, £89.99 for the deluxe edition, and a complexion-draining £109.99 for the premium edition.
In addition to car pass and VIP content along with other DLC, owners of the premium edition get five days of early access to the game, which means they’ll be hooning around Tokyo from 21 January. Deluxe edition owners get the car pass and the ‘welcome pack’, while standard edition owners get… well, the game.
Regardless of edition, pre-ordering the game before release will grant you the J50, a super-rare and gratuitously tuned Ferrari 488 Spider released in 2016 to mark 50 years of the prancing horse doing business in Japan. 681bhp plus windy roads plus cherry blossom everywhere – what could possibly go wrong?
