Fancy a 700bhp BMW 8 Series cabrio?
Manhart will turn your M850i into a full-fat M8 beater…
If anyone ever tells you that the 616bhp BMW M8 Competition convertible just doesn’t quite have enough power, you can now direct them to German tuner Manhart and the MH8 700 Cabrio. Whilst questioning their sanity, of course.
Manhart’s 700bhp 8 Series actually begins life as an M850i. The twin-turbo 4.4-litre V8 then gets a new ECU and upgraded turbos to produce that bonkers power figure along with 682lb ft of torque.
There are new intercoolers and air filters too, as well as a stainless-steel flap-controlled exhaust and upgrades to the gearbox to cope with the power hike. The brakes are completely standard (apart from the gold paint on the calipers) and there are new springs that drop the 8 Series by 30mm.
The MH8 700 gets the usual Manhart carbon front and rear bumpers, plus new carbon fibre gearshift paddles and 20-inch wheels. What do we reckon, folks? Bit brave, isn’t it?
