We desperately need this Lancia Delta Integrale restomod by Manhart
Tuning company overhauls iconic hatch, bumps power to 370bhp in the process
Well, this is a fine way to kick off the week, isn’t it? German tuning company Manhart has revealed this restomodded Lancia Delta HF Integrale, and at first glance it looks like they’ve done a tasteful job of it. Almost the polar opposite of being Mansoried, and even a slight departure for Manhart itself.
The big changes include a mix of software and hardware updates, including an upgraded turbocharger with a racing header and timer, while the 2.0-litre engine gets forged pistons and H-beam connecting rods. Plus, there’s a new camshaft from Cat Cams and fuel pump from Bosch.
Manhart has also fitted a Group N air intake, radiator and ventilator, plus a fresh 3.5-inch exhaust system with two new tailpipes for good measure.
The five-speed gearbox has been upgraded with Group N bits too, plus Variant 3 coilovers from KW Suspensions for ‘even better driving dynamics’.
To that end, there’s more stopping power courtesy of Brembo brakes: we’re talking four-piston front discs measuring 380x28mm and two-piston rears at 284x22mm. Tyres? Four 205/40ZR17s, mated to 8x17in wheels.
And the result of all this? Power and torque leap from the original’s 197bhp and 220lb ft to 375hp and 406lb ft, something Manhart calls an ‘enormous increase’. No kidding.
Doesn’t stop there either. The interior has been finished in a mix of fine leather and Alcantara, with a short-shifter lever, Manhart’s own Evo instruments and a sports steering wheel.
You won’t have failed to notice the rear spoiler, either.
Based on a donor car from 1990, the Manhart Integrale 400 has 57,500km on the odometer and only one previous owner, apparently. And it’s yours for €129,900 (about £111k).
