This $1.4m Ferrari F12tdf has over $110k of options

Auctioned soon, this Tour de France homage has less than 200 miles on the clock

We’ve said much about the Ferrari F12tdf – more of which you can read here, and watch here – but in a nutshell, it is a nut. A good nut, but a proper nut.

So let us instead talk about this Ferrari F12tdf; a very special, hugely optioned 770bhp hypercar that boasts more than $110,000 in options alone. It is coming up for auction at the RM Sotheby’s Arizona sale, and is worthy of note.

Not least because it’s painted in ‘Extra Campionario’ Azzurro La Plata Livrea. Basically, it’s a fine baby blue, but everything sounds better in Italian. This hue immediately paints a fine line straight back to the Tour de France-winning 250 GT, too. It’s even got hand-painted Scuderia Ferrari wing badges (or ‘shields’, as you should probably say) and the French flag colours striped down the middle.

There is much carbonfibre about this particular car – apparently worth $39k alone – while an additional $46k of ‘other options’ is notable.

It was delivered new to a dealer in San Diego, and is practically factory fresh. It has covered less than 200 miles, still boasts the factory warranty and its Ferrari maintenance programme until the year 2024.

Price? Um, also nutty. RM Sothebys reckons it’ll go for between $1.2m and $1.4m at next week’s sale. About three times what it cost new…

But then it’s one of just 799 cars ever built, can go from 0-62mph in 2.9secs, and will test the very limits of your driving repertoire. Plus it’s got gold wheels, so, y’know…
