Bugatti releases new pic of its upcoming Chiron hypercar
And it’s getting a Geneva 2016 motor show debut. Start counting the days
Merry Christmas, Interwebs. This is the new Bugatti Chiron. Sort of. You will notice that it has been wrapped under a sheet, ready for its world premiere at next year’s Geneva Motor Show.
Though we’ve still got three months left before its official unveil, you can already see much of the lovely silhouette thanks to this Bugatti Christmas card. It looks Veyron-ish. It looks sleek. It also looks very powerful.
It will be. Bugatti hasn’t confirmed powertrain details yet, but you can bank on at least 1,400bhp, a minimum of 270mph and a 0-62mph time that's suitably stratospheric.
Bugatti says the Chiron will be “the world’s most powerful, fastest, most luxurious and most exclusive production super sports car,” and quite a lot of people already agree; Bugatti has already received 100 orders from ‘selected customers’.
About that name then. Chiron pays homage to Louis Chiron, a famous Bugatti racing driver of days gone by. Louis was apparently the only person born in Monte Carlo to win its signature GP race.
We'll know more in just a few months, and it can't come soon enough. Excited about the next chapter in the Bugatti story?
