Do not adjust your sets: this is the world’s most expensive, Pagani-filled orchestra

Because what you need are 24 cylinders inside a jaw-dropping opera house

Welcome to the world’s most expensive orchestra. For reasons that are frankly rather straightforward, a supercar collector with a penchant for Paganis has driven two of his toys right into the Hungarian State Opera House.

Here’s the proof. And no, it’s no AI-generated, rendered, or in any way made up: those really are two jaw-droppingly exquisite, handcrafted machines capable of mellifluous V12 symphonies sitting inside a place designed specifically to house such wondrous noise.

The wealthy owner, clearly a lightly enthusiastic fan of Horacio's handywork, boasts one of the biggest collections of Paganis… in the world. Think of any limited-run model of the last decade and he's probably got it.

Like the two you see here. The carbon fibre one’s a Zonda 760 RS – the first of that limited series – while the silver one’s a Zonda 760 Roadster that bookends the line by being the last. Both of course, are powered by AMG’s monster 7.3-litre V12 churning out 760bhp. Imagine having box seats for that.

Ah yes, ‘reasons’. It really is straightforward: Paganis are “like pieces of art”, and so why not stage two of Horacio’s most beautiful creations inside a beautiful old building steeped in history and built for sound? Essentially, it's 'why the heck not'.
