Gallery: the best bits of TG’s special Porsche magazine
From 356 to GT2 RS, 962 to record-breaking 919, we celebrate Porsche’s 70th
As Porsche turns 70, Top Gear pays homage to the brand that’s become synonymous with sports cars with a limited-edition magazine.
In this collection of Top Gear’s best ever Porsche road trips and adventures, no stone is left unturned. We have the Porsche bookends, the 356 and 911 GT2 RS, travelling across Scotland. We check out not one but two Le Mans heroes: a 962 that still gets its daily miles, and the record (and internet) breaking 919 Hybrid.
Looking into the future, we experience the new plug-in Mission E concept, while on a more practical note we see how far you can take a Panamera across Canada with a canoe tied to the roof. Who said we’re not thorough?
We also have a nosey inside the Porsche Museum’s Aladdin’s cave storage facility, unearthing an embarrassment of riches, and there’s a ginormous seven-car road trip from the Arctic Circle that you have to see to believe.
And, of course, there’s more 911s than you can shake a perfectly shaped gearstick at. Click through the pictures above for a glimpse at what’s inside, then pick up your copy at all the usual outlets or via the link below.
