Welcome to the Fenomeno Roadster: the fastest ever roofless Lamborghini
How does 211mph and a 0-62mph time of 2.4s sound? Yeah, like an angry V12
This is the Lamborghini Fenomeno Roadster. You can technically describe it as an ‘automobile’; a means of travelling from point A to point B, like any other automobile. You can also technically describe it as the most powerful roofless Lamborghini ever built.
But screw technicalities for a moment, because when you’re faced with 1,065 very animated Italian horsepowers being delivered al fresco by one of the world’s last remaining V12 engines, well… yeah.
It’s of course a roofless version of last year’s Fenomeno Coupe, which means a 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 restrained within the Revuelto’s carbon fibre monocoque and three electric motors (two on the front, one on top of the eight-speed dual clutch gearbox). It also means – deploying a familiar delivery – poweeer.
That V12 just happens to be the fruitiest V12 Lamborghini has ever built (824bhp on its own), and together with those e-motors pumps out a whopping 1,065bhp. The 0-62mph dash is dusted off in 2.4s – just like the Coupe – 0-124mph takes 6.8s, and top speed is over 211mph (340kmh+).

So it’s not what you’d call lento. There are big, fat carbon ceramics attempting to haul in all of that veloce, and racing shocks to keep the body in check. Oh, right, the body – subtle, we’d proffer, Lamborghini dialling down its usual exuberance for this open-air outing.
We jest. It mad. That shape naturally follows much of the Coupe’s design form – angry lights, hexagons bursting through the carbon fibre panels, strakes, splitters, fins, blades… if you can think of something sharp and hexagon-y and of course, Lambo, chances are the Fenomeno’s wearing it. That and super sticky tyres on 20in/21in wheels.
For the Roadster, Lambo’s put that mighty V12 on display, adding a clear engine cover, while inside you’ll find the similar themes of expensive and exclusive materials, aviation-inspired switchgear, contrast stitching, digital displays, sports seats… you know the drill. All in, Lambo said it’s only a few kilos heavier than the Coupe.
Lambo also said this is “one of the most colourful limited edition models Lamborghini has ever built”, utilising what you’d call ‘all the blue’ and ‘a bit of red’. It mirrors the first ever Lambo roadster – something called a ‘Miura’ (nope, us neither) – and Bologna’s own colour scheme. Sweet.
Only 15 of these Fenomeno Roadster ‘Few Off’ models are being built, and one strongly suspects they will have already been accounted for by the time you read this, such is the Italian brand’s power in this space.
Because of course, “each example is conceived as a collectible masterpiece,” according to boss Stephan Winkelmann. Though, it’s also technically a V12 automobile capable of getting really very quickly from point A to point B.
