This is the new Ford Ranger MS-RT
Special edition pick-up sits alongside the Raptor as a top-spec Ranger
MS-RT has been fitting Ford Transits with rally-inspired bodykits for a good few years now. So, what better way to diversify than with another of Ford’s commercial vehicles – the Ranger.
Ford will sell this new Ranger MS-RT alongside the Raptor at the pinnacle of its pick-up line-up, although the white two-door Super Cab you see above won’t come to the UK. Boo!
Essentially the MS-RT is a Ranger Wildtrak with a new carbon fibre-effect grille, 20-inch OZ Racing alloy wheels, extended wheel arches and new side skirts. Ford says the new look ‘adds street appeal’. You can have it in Frozen White, Sea Grey or Agate Black and there’s also carbon-effect mirrors, an aerodynamic load bar and plenty of MS-RT badging.
On the inside there’s plenty of standard kit as well as leather trim and orange stitching, plus a whole heap more MS-RT badging. Because why wouldn’t you want to shout about your special edition?
No changes from the standard Wildtrak under the skin, so the engine is Ford’s 2.0-litre twin-turbo EcoBlue diesel that sends 210bhp and 369lb ft of torque to all four wheels through a 10-speed automatic gearbox.
