YouTube slow-mo merchants turn attention to 100mph RC car, excellence occurs
There’s a single, unifying principle, as unerring and universal as gravity, that says slow motion is just about the coolest thing ever.
Of course, by now, you’ve probably seen water balloons explode, bullets fly through watermelons and men get hit, exceptionally hard, in the face. And it was good.
But this vid might be even better. Remember your first RC car? Well, this isn’t it. It’s called the Traxxas XO-1, it looks more than a little like the Zenvo ST1, and it’s capable of more than 100mph.
The Slow Mo Guys, responsible for hundreds of millions of YouTube hits, have now turned their attention to the XO-1, sending it on ballistic adventures through flour (which looks much cooler than it sounds) to a flamethrower pyre (which looks exactly as cool as it sounds).
In case you were curious, the XO-1 is about £700 a pop, and professional-grade slow-mo cameras? Well, if you have to ask…
