Buying
What should I be paying?
This is entirely arbitrary for a British audience. If you really, really want one – and we’d quite understand if you did – you’re going to be looking at doing a private import or going through a specialist import dealer/agency. Cars will make it here, but expect to pay a hefty premium over the stated US prices. Not least because demand is so high. One Texas dealer we spoke to told us the waiting list is already well over a year long.
It’s a confusing car to spec simply because of the vast range of options available. Be warned that the base model (called simply, Base) is very basic. Once past that prices rise markedly. Us? We’re not convinced we’d need a fully loaded First Edition, but we’d find it very hard to say no to a Badlands or Wildtrak with the optional Sasquatch pack. That, needless to say, is an essential.
