Skoda Superb Estate review

£25,420 - £42,050
Published: 26 Aug 2021

What is it like on the inside?

The simple answer is it’s massive. There’s leg, head and shoulder room in spades for those in both the front and rear seats.

Here’s what you’re really interested in though – boot space. There’s 660 litres with the rear seats in place and a mighty 1,950 litres with them folded flat. To put that into context, the Audi A6 Avant gets 565 litres seats up and 1,680 litres seats down, whilst the similarly-priced Volvo V60 only manages 529/1,441 litres. You can fold the aforementioned back bench from a lever in the boot, and touch free boot opening is a useful option.

The rest of the interior is plenty premium enough. There are three infotainment system options with either 8.0 or 9.2-inch touchscreens and all get shortcut buttons surrounding them. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard. Oh, and thankfully the climate controls get their own separate panel too. That’s luxury these days.

SportLine Plus brings plenty of Alcantara on the seats, roof lining and pillars, whilst the top spec L&K trim gets the usually optional Canton sound system and 10.25-inch digital dial screen. It does start at £38,805, mind.

The facelift brought with it new ambient lighting on the dash and in the footwells. Very exciting stuff for the big Skoda. You get real buttons and ergonomic clickwheels on the steering wheel too.
