Norfolk-based sports car maker built around company founder Colin Chapman’s motto of ‘simplify, and add lightness’. The battery-powered Evija supercar may stretch this philosophy. Despite a financial history that can best be described as ‘turbulent’, Lotus has, over the years, built some of the purest, best-driving sports cars ever seen, from the Esprit to the Elise.
