You can now search for a Skoda via the Amazon platform

You can now find your next Skoda through the Amazon platform. The carmaker’s latest venture involves opening a ‘digital showroom’ on the vast UK marketplace, though fear not - this isn’t going to be one of those ‘we’ve chucked your keys in your neighbour's garden' type deliveries.

The Skoda/Amazon collab enables drivers to contrast and compare all the models in the brand’s range, including the new all-electric Skoda Elroq, figure out the money side of things, and rather helpfully, give a real-time indication of local stock availability.

The carmaker quizzed 2,000 UK adults on their car-buying values: 47 per cent said being able to research at home was important, and 77 per cent spent as much as two hours browsing online, so Skoda's efforts are in aid of that.

The survey also found 82 per cent of respondents still preferred some kind of human interaction, so – in an Epiq straddle between the digital and real worlds – you’ll get the opportunity to test drive and physically purchase your next family motor directly from Skoda.

No word on whether there'll be any deals for Amazon Day come July, but we suspect that'll be a Prime opportunity to save a few pennies.
