The 295bhp Skoda Enyaq vRS will start at over £50k

Skoda’s first all-electric vRS won’t come cheap

Published: 11 Feb 2022

Skoda has announced UK prices for its newly-unveiled Enyaq Coupe vRS, and the big news is that it’ll start at £51,885. Ouch.

That puts the swoopy performance Enyaq in the same price bracket as the Tesla Model Y Long Range (£54,990, while the bonkers-quick Y Performance is another £10k more), with the Californian boasting a 4.8 second 0-60mph time and 331 miles of range. The similarly twin-motored Skoda manages 309 miles of range and a 0-62mph time of 6.5 seconds.

No doubt the fit and finish will be excellent, though. The vRS gets sporty bumpers, a leather-filled interior, a sports chassis and that light-up ‘Crystal Face’ as standard. Black 20-inch wheels are also included in the £50k+ start price, with massive 21s an optional extra.

Orders open later this month, with deliveries starting in July this year. Thoughts, Internet?
