EVs really have hit the mainstream: even the Cozy Coupe has gone electric!
Little Tikes now offers a charging station to plug in a Cozy Coupe “just like mum and dad”
One of the world’s most recognisable cars has finally been transformed into an EV. Nope, Volkswagen still hasn’t got round to making that all-electric Golf. In fact, it has been beaten to the punch by the Little Tikes Cozy Coupe.
Yep, everyone’s first car is now optionally available with a ‘Cozy E-Charging Station’ for just £24.99, with its makers saying “kids can plug in and charge their car just like mum and dad".
Unfortunately, there’s no word on the station’s max output just yet, but it uses three AA batteries and gets a power button plus a light-up meter, so let’s just imagine that this thing is more powerful than BYD’s bonkers 1,500kW Flash Chargers. Don’t want little Jimmy waiting around for 45 minutes before his next lap of the garden, do we?
There’s great news for owners of older Cozy Coupes who want to go green too, because the plug itself is compatible with all vehicles in the range and fits straight into what can also be the fuel filler. Rumour has it all you need to do is say “I love electric restomods” three times and the conversion is complete.
Of course, much like mum and dad’s Porsche Macan, the Cozy Coupe is also still available as an internal combustion car. Although with the way fuel prices are going currently, it’s no surprise to see the smiling ‘Cozy Pumper’ pictured above is £29.99.
Apparently there’s also a Cozy Coupe that runs on carrots and broccoli, but we can’t see that being very successful at all…
