Yeah, we want this Indian eFTR Hooligan e-bike

The US-based motorcyclists are getting in on the e-bike game

Published: 07 Mar 2022

Electrically-assisted bicycles are literally everywhere these days, aren’t they? We can almost guarantee you’ve either toured a capital city on one or had a takeaway delivered swiftly, silently and recklessly.

Not many look as cool as this, though. This is the Indian eFTR Hooligan 1.2. It’s the result of a collaboration between the US motorcycle manufacturer and e-bike builders Super73. Indian reckons it can be used for both “recreational sport use or urban transportation”.

The electric powertrain comes courtesy of Super73 and features a 960Wh battery that can offer 75 miles of range in the ECO pedal assist mode. There are also Tour, Sport and Off-Road modes, with the latter offering 2,000 watts of power (around 2.6bhp) and a top speed of 28mph if you get furious with the pedals.

The styling is all Indian, with chunky tyres, inverted front forks, an LED headlight, deleted fenders and that super blingy gold chain. Respect.

Sadly it’ll only be sold in the US, with each one costing $3,999. What do we think, folks?
