Hennessey’s ‘H1000’ Cadillac Escalade V is a 1,005bhp king-sized hotel suite
And it’ll get to 60mph in 3.6s. How’s that for pantomime?
Ever looked at a 2.8-tonne, eight-seat, all-wheel drive luxury SUV and thought what it needs is a 3.6s 0-60mph time? Quite. Hennessey’s gone and done it with the Escalade V, naming its latest product the ‘H1000’.
That 6.2-litre V8 has been frisked up to 1,005bhp/882lb ft thanks to a meatier supercharger. There’s also a new camshaft, cylinder heads and throttle bodies, with upgraded exhaust valves out back to give the H1000 a more aggressive soundtrack over the standard version.
Save for the new exterior badging and vinyls, it's as per the not-at-all standard Escalade. Meaning this is a near-three-tonne sleeper build that’s as long as most fields, as wide as most forests and about as tall as most trees. Yeah, it’s got presence alright.
It’s the same story inside: the standard-fit curved 55in infotainment hub and forty-speaker audio kit (on the 2025 model year Escalade) are present and correct. There’s lots of perforated leather and polished wood everywhere you look too, making the H1000 the world’s fastest king-sized hotel suite.
You’ll be wondering about pricing at this point. The latest version of the standard car starts at $152,295 (or £116k), so we’re expecting a visit to Hennessey will push that further north. Production will also be limited to just 100 units for each of the 2023, 2024 and 2025 model years, with the 2024 catalogue already full.
Maybe people do like the thought of a mammoth-sized SUV that gets from 0-60 in 3.6s after all.
