You can now buy a Pagani Utopia for £880! Sort of!
Pocher’s new 1:8 scale die-cast copy features 556 parts and takes 30 hours to build
The Pagani Utopia: an ultra-rare, finely chiselled hypercar with 852bhp and a £2.2m price tag. Without options. If that seems a tad hefty, die-cast maker Pocher now has a solution… for about 0.04 per cent of the price.
This is its 1:8 scale Utopia coupe model, which took two years to develop and costs a more welcoming £880. It’ll take you around 30 hours to put together each of the 556 intricately designed parts, using the 200 various nuts and bolts provided.
And once you’re done, you’re left with a flawlessly recaptured exterior, finished in the hypercar’s launch colour of ‘Rinascimento Lucido’. It gets working steering and suspension, and beneath the bonnet sits that famed 6.0-litre twin-turbo V12 in all its glory. Non-functional and tiny pretend glory, of course.
Operate the tiny dihedral doors, and you’re even treated to a precise copy of the Utopia’s interior. Finished here in maroon over cream, and with every bit of switchgear and trim as you’d expect them to look on the real thing.
That’s Father’s Day sorted then.
