Weird crossover of the week: the Hummer EV is coming to Call of Duty
Hummer trades on its US military history by getting its new electric pickup into CoD
Gather round all, for there is a new automotive/gaming tie up for you to be aware of. Yep, GMC has teamed up with Activision to get its new Hummer EV pickup into the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0.
The 1,000bhp truck will be available for “players to transport their team across any terrain or map” in the online Warzone 2.0, says GMC, with the game expected to arrive this autumn. Should be a rather speedy trip across the map with 11,500lb ft of torque on tap and a 0-60mph time of around three seconds, shouldn’t it?
We’ve also had confirmation that the all-electric Hummer will make an appearance in the single-player campaign of Modern Warfare II, with the hotly-anticipated return scheduled for release on 28 October this year.
Thoughts on the tie-up, Internet?
