Mitsubishi Outlander news - Outlander takes off in Japan - 2006

Mitsubishi is indulging in a bit of feather preening with the news that its latest Outlander is the best-selling SUV in Japan since its launch there in last October.

UK buyers will have to wait until the start of 2007 to get their mitts on the Mitsubishi, with prices expected around £17,500.

An all-new platform sits under a more smoothly styled body to provide a greatly improved drive.

The new Outlander was featured at the recent New York Auto Show.
