The Brabus ‘1000 All Grey’ is a 986bhp S-Class that gets to 62mph in 3.1s
Bigger engine, lower suspension, extra body ornaments and *lots* of grey - this has Brabus written all over it. Literally.
Brabus has released everything from motorhomes to shooting brakes of late, but it’s returning to familiar grounds with this: the Mercedes-AMG S63 E Performance-based ‘1000 All Grey’. It’s very, very powerful, and very, very... grey.
The original 4.0-litre V8 has been swapped for Brabus’ meaner 4.5-litre V8, and the numbers are, predictably, even mightier: 986bhp, 1,195lb ft of torque and 0-62 in 3.1s. The 180mph top speed may be unchanged, but, yeah it's enough.
There's a light cosmetic overhaul that includes a slippery new body kit said to improve airflow and cooling, 22in Monobloc wheels and titanium tailpipes with a sports exhaust. It also sits about half an inch lower to the ground thanks to the new suspension. And did we mention all the 'grey'? Yeah, it's grey.
Inside, too. Mercifully there are bits of carbon to break up the colour along the centre console, dashboard, door panels and steering wheel, along with aluminium pedals and bespoke logos. We’re not sure about the upholstery patterns though, which make the cabin look a bit like a 1940s living room.
No word on pricing, but given the standard car starts at around £186,000 before Brabus has a play, expect this to get expensive.
