Yes, Mansory has added gold and power to the Rolls-Royce Wraith

'Palm Edition 999' gets more power, more torque, and more gold

Published: 14 Jan 2016

Here we have a Rolls Royce Wraith that looks like it’s been involved in some kind of unfortunate smelting incident. It hasn’t though. Mansory assures us it’s quite on purpose.

It’s called the ‘Palm 999 Edition’, and Mansory says it will build only nine for a so far undisclosed sum of money. The body kit is carbon fibre and the gold wheels are 21s. Only the badges have been refinished in ‘pure gold’, but Mansory says it can and will gold plate anything with a metallic surface. The interior, we’re told, is similarly appointed.

The Wraith's 6.6-litre V12 engine hasn’t gone unaltered, either. Power is up from 623bhp to 730bhp, cutting the 0-62mph time by a fifth of a second to 4.4seconds. Mansory's done away with the 155mph limiter, too, for a 186mph top-end.

Tasteful upgrade or gaudy monstrosity? We’ll let you argue it out in the comments.
