Drifting! Smoke! Speed! This 360-degree video has it all
Teenage driver slings a 542bhp Nissan up a hill climb, burns much rubber
360-degree videos can be a bit hit and miss. This one thankfully, is very much the former.
Mounted on the roof of a 542bhp S13 Nissan Silvia, it features Irish youngster Jack Shanahan, who at the tender age of just 17 has already mastered the art of destroying rear tyres.
Competing against Romain Soucasse in a BMW E36 Compact (packing a whopping 573bhp), Shanahan makes the most of his invitation to Round 5 of the 2016 Drift Championship of France at Chamrousse by displaying some excellent car control at the famous hill climb.
We’re not entirely sure who emerges victorious, or indeed what the rules are, but it matters not. After all it’s not the winning, it’s the taking rubber apart.
