Peugeot Prologue concept - Paris motor show news - 2008
What the good lord of Peugeot design giveth with one hand - in the shape of the stunning RC Hybrid - he taketh with the other.
This is the Peugeot Prologue HyMotion and, well, don't you feel like you've seen it all before?
Looking like a 308 morphed into a more MPV-ish shape, the Prologue is another take on the four-wheel drive hybrid formula, and one that we just can't get excited about.
The front wheel are powered by a two-litre, 163bhp HDi diesel, and the rear wheels get a dinky 36bhp electric motor. Which means 0-62mph in 8.8 seconds in hybrid mode, but a range of just three miles in all-electric mode.
You can guess the rest. It's got some seats and decent ground clearance and is ideal for the sort of people who go yachting at the weekend.
Peugeot is still describing the Prologue as a concept, but it looks depressingly ready for production. Save the effort, guys. Build the RC instead. Did we mention that already?
